Another Milestone


On August 28 Rosa and I celebrated her birthday and our forty-second anniversary with Paula and Dean and their family. As the years have passed and the memories have accumulated, we realize all over again how full of happiness our lives have been. My wife is as beautiful as ever (though her hair colour has changed since this photograph was taken in Cypress Hills in 1963). Rosa was just finishing nurses training when this picture was taken and I was about a year from beginning university. We were just beginning to dream about the future. We were just short of our twenty-first birthdays. Now we are just short of our old age pensions. Still in love and still building dreams.

Grandpa

On July 14, 2006 our eldest granddaughter, Meredith married Kurt. Today they are on their way to their new home in Toronto. Mere has the pink bike with her--a gift from her generous friend, Penny. We will miss them both, being so far away, but will keep in touch electronically.
